Perkasa chief Datuk Ibrahim Ali disagreed that he had uttered racist remarks against the Indian and Chinese communities after a video showing him making a racist speech was played in court. “It looks like me, it sounds like me... but the movement of the mouth isn’t consistent with what the image was saying... so it might not be me.

I flipped through all the news over the past two weeks and simply could not get anything about Perkasa's Ibrahim Ali, while the last piece of news about Isma was its call to Muslims not to say "Merry Christmas". www.themalaysianinsider.com/sideviews/article/where-were-they-during-the-floods-tay-tian-yan

The confused theologies of Isma and Perkasa – Farouk A. Peru - The Malaysian Insider

It is perhaps one of the greatest mysteries of our time that the rhetoricians of Ikatan Muslimin Malaysia (Isma) and Perkasa could deliver their hate speeches with straight faces.

It is bad enough that they are proponents of Islamofascism, preaching a form of Islam totally at odds with the spirit and letter of the Quran, but on top of that, they have added their heinous brand of racism as well. This makes their ideologies particularly noxious.

The open letter by the 25 Prominent Malays (or "G25" as they are now called) had prompted indignant responses by Perkasa and Isma. Perkasa's Ibrahim Ali unabashedly declared himself a "hero of the Malay people" and Isma declared that "moderation is a sin". Indeed, desperate times call for desperate measures. Notwithstanding all their bluster in allegedly defending the honour of Islam and the dignity of the Malays, Isma and Perkasa have contravened one of the most fundamental tenets of islam – that of racial equality. While their Islamofascist views (such as Ibrahim calling for the burning of Bahasa Malaysia Bibles which have the word "Allah" and Abdullah Zaik denouncing "moderation") are already nauseating to any decent human being, they have unashamedly added to that their assertion of rights as indigenes of our nation.

This is a combination of ideologies to which neither the so-called Islamic State nor even the Talibans ascribe. That is how low Isma and Perkasa have sunk. On the contrary, the Quran preaches the concept of the single ummah. It tells us that the essence of humankind is one ummah (2/213) . This is indeed very intriguing becase the word "ummah" is usually used to describe the collective of the Muslim cultural tribe. The Quran, however, goes beyond cultural affiliation and sees the entire humanity as one nation (ummatan wahida).

Therefore, even religious segmentation (between Muslims and others, for example) isn't Quranic, let alone the racial segmentation preached by Isma and Perkasa. Worse stil, Isma and Perkasa sees the Malay-Islamic race as some kind of privileged race whose entitlement goes even beyond historical considerations.

Take the proprietorship of the word "Allah". This is something of a passionate issue for Isma and Perkasa, yet historically speaking, it is the Muslims who appropriated this term from pagan and Christian Arabs. Even the Quran acknowledges pagan Arabs were using the term already (23/87). It even tells us what Christians say (5/72), yet does not chastise them for using the term but rather correcting them on the concept itself.

So, where do Isma and Perkasa get their moral right to exclusively use or own the term? Finally, we see Isma and Perkasa constantly deriding what they consider to be negative ideologies in the world of Islam. These include liberalism, pluralism, feminism, rights of gender and sexual minorities etc.

The question to ask them would be if they find that their own approach to Islam is actually concordant with the Quran itself. After all, the Quran gives complete freedom to believe and even chides Muhammad for thinking he can force people to do so (10/99-100). It also has no problem giving people the right to think of themselves and discovering their own paths (8/22 and 29/69). It does not confine women to any specific social roles and even names a female leader as one who accepts the philosophy of peace (27/44). No, the Quran is completely supportive of the ideas which Perkasa and Isma despise yet firmly tells us that human beings were created of a single pair and that the most honoured in the sight of Allah is the most God-conscious (49/13).

It would be very amusing if it was not so obviously ridiculous – in this aspect of Islam, Isma and Perkasa completely reject Prophet Muhammad. Malay politics has now reached a particularly low ebb with the rise of Islamofascism. As if this isn't bad enough, we have the confused theologies of Isma and Perkasa as well. Happily, there are now voices in support of the G25. Thousands of Malays have woken up to these pantomime villains who have no business speaking for us. We need to keep the momentum going so we may shake off these malaises and contribute to the progress of the nation.

Jangan serang, saya juga penyokong kuat BN, kata bekas pengerusi SPR kepada Zahid - The...

http://www.themalaysianinsider.com/bahasa/article/jangan-serang-saya-juga-penyokong-kuat-bn-kata-bekas-pengerusi-spr-kepada-z

“Saya hanya bercakap mengenai rasuah.

Saya mahu kerajaan BN kekal,” katanya kepada The Malaysian Insider.
